Rural Machinery & Mechanical Services

Rural Machinery & Mechanical Services (RMMS) was founded to address a critical gap in Cape York — reliable mechanical support for remote communities where downtime means lost income, missed opportunities, and real hardship.

As an Indigenous-owned business based in Napranum, we understand the region's unique challenges. Founder and operator, Whyte-Au Adidi, built this business on years of hands-on experience — from apprenticeship, to tradesman work across multiple sites, to supervisory roles — and a commitment to passing that knowledge to the next generation.

We're proud partners with Mercury Marine as an authorised service provider, and we're expanding our reach through a partnership with Napranum Aboriginal Shire Council to operate the community workshop. This growth means more local jobs, faster service, and stronger support for the communities we call home.
